Chinese Medicinal Herbs - ID, propagation, cultivation, and harvesting
This workshop will provide information about Chinese medicinal herbs for growers interested in alternative crops, and for practitioners interested in growing their own herbs. Western NC is ideally suited to growing important Chinese medicinal herbs such as Angelica sinensis – dang gui. Many Chinese medicinal herbs are closely related to herbs in North Carolina's forests, including Black Cohosh, Solomon's Seal, Wild Yam, and Ginseng. Mountain Gardens has the largest collection of Chinese medicinal plants in the Eastern US & has been growing them for 25 years.
